The Trust

We were compelled to form a conservation trust in response to climate change affecting our island, taking into account our interest in promoting sound environmental practices on it.

 

We created the trust so that together we can collaborate on activities whose goal is to protect the immense beauty and natural wealth of Holbox, its traditional livelihoods and sustainable tourism.

In collaboration with specialists in environmental protection, we constantly monitor the evolution of the Holbox environment and its impact not only on our daily lives, but also on those of our future generations. Likewise, we carry out educational training and mentoring programs for future community leaders so that together we raise awareness on how to protect Holbox today and in the future.
